"In Our Nature," "Pink, White & Blue," "échappé," "Europa," and "Sideways," screened at drive-in screenings March 5 and 6 in the Black Warrior Film Festival on the campus of the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
The festival awards ceremony was online on Sunday night, March 7.
- "In Our Nature" won Best Experimental Film
- "Pink, White & Blue" won Best Documentary
- "échappé" won best Drama
- "Europa" won Best Score
- "Sideways" won Best Production Design
- Hannah Myers won Best Actress for her work in "échappé"
- Patrick Monaghan and David Johnson III won Best Actor for their performances for "Sideways"
"In Our Nature"
"In Our Nature" was written by Echo Wilson and Nick Bailey; directed and animated by Echo Wilson; produced by Nick Bailey with animation and coloring by Mckayla Singleton, Abby Davenport, and Kamryn Szeliga; editing and sound design by Jacob Boyle and music by Alexandra Franco Zorro. Awarded: Best Experimental Film.
"Pink, White & Blue"
"Pink, White & Blue" was directed, edited and sound designed by Ash Malone; produced by Epiphany James, Ellie Emfinger, and Erin Gallagher with cinematography by Ian Price and music by Michael Gaffney. Awarded: Best Documentary
"échappé"
"échappé" was directed by Rebecca Walters; written by Walters and Brandon Rieff; produced by Rieff and Julia Lofton Walpole with cinematography by Rachel Schattle; production design by Shelby Grzech; editing by Joe Linford; sound design by Linford; music by Alexander and Christopher Egersdoerfer; choreography by Gary Taylor (Dance '90), founder and artistic director of Winston-Salem Festival Ballet, and Isabel Newport, a third-year contemporary dance student in the School of Dance; costume design by Rachel Nicole Anderson; and wig and makeup design by Brittan Furr. Awarded: Best Drama and Best Actress.

"Europa" was directed by Joey Moore; written by Edward Taveras; produced by Taylor Davis; cinematography by Jack Salmon; production design by Madison Harvey; editing by Graham Swanston; sound design by Langston Styles; music by Scott Rodeheaver; costume design by Dale Jones; wig and makeup design by Joan Paluska. Awarded: Best Score.
"Sideways"
"Sideways" was written by Ben Trauner; directed by Daniel Robert Smith; produced by Thatcher Johnson-Welden; co-produced by Sam Varriale with cinematography by John Curtis; production design by Jordan W. Sayman; edited by Nikos Spiridakis; sound designed by Micah Godsey and Nikos Spriridakis with music by Michael Gaffney; costume design by Lizzie Lovett and wig & makeup design by Nic See. Awarded: Best Production Design and Best Actors.
