kojongpana.blogspot.com

Other top nominees for the May 16 show include 'Emily in Paris,' 'The Boys' and 'Judas and the Black Messiah,' while 'RuPaul's Drag Race' leads the nominees for the inaugural unscripted awards, which will be handed out a day later.

WandaVision leads the nominees for the MTV Movie & TV Awards with a total of five noms.

Close behind in the TV categories are Emily in Paris and The Boys, with four noms apiece, and Bridgerton and The Mandalorian, with three noms each.

On the film side, Borat Subsequent Moviefilm was tops with three nominations, followed by Judas and the Black Messiah with two.

Judas and the Borat sequel are up for best movie alongside Promising Young Woman, Soul and To All the Boys: Always and Forever.

Meanwhile, Chadwick Boseman received a posthumous nomination for best performance in a movie for his role in Ma Rainey's Black Bottom. His fellow nominees in that category are Carey Mulligan for Promising Young Woman, Daniel Kaluuya for Judas and the Black Messiah, Sacha Baron Cohen for The Trial of the Chicago 7 and Zendaya for Malcolm & Marie. (The categories are all gender neutral.)

In TV, Bridgerton, Emily in Paris, The Boys and WandaVision are all up for best show, along with Cobra Kai.

Nominated for best performance in a show are Anya Taylor-Joy for The Queen’s Gambit, Elizabeth Olsen for WandaVision, Elliot Page for The Umbrella Academy, Emma Corrin for The Crown and Michaela Coel for I May Destroy You.

The winners will be announced in a ceremony airing live at 9 p.m. May 16 from the Palladium in Los Angeles.

The following day, MTV will air its inaugural MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted. RuPaul's Drag Race tops nominees for that ceremony with four, followed by 90 Day Fiancé, Bling Empire, Legendary, Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, Nailed It!, Ridiculousness and The Challenge, all of which scored two noms each.

Additional details about the two shows, including hosts and presenters, will be announced in the coming weeks, MTV said.

The gender-neutral award categories are voted on by fans; voting opens Monday and continues through April 30 at vote.mtv.com. Other categories include best kiss, best hero, best villain, best fight and most frightened performance.
