The fifth film in the Indiana Jones franchise begins filming in the UK next week, and photos from one of the sets reveals the movie will feature the Nazis in an unknown role.
Leaked photos from the set on a section of the North Yorkshire Moors railway in Britain showed a black train with swastika symbols painted on it.
Nazis were the main villains of the Harrison Ford-led film series’ first and third installments. In both cases, the antagonists were attempting to get their hands on biblical artifacts they believed would grant them great powers (The Ark of the Covenant from the Old Testament and the Holy Grail from the New Testament, respectively).
It is not currently known whether Nazis will feature heavily in the film and what part they will play. The movie is expected to take place in the 1960s, well after the end of the Third Reich.

The franchise, which started in 1981, follows fictional archaeologist Jones.
The last film in the series was the 2008 movie “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,” that left fans largely disappointed.
The film, featuring the 78-year-old Ford, is currently slated for release in July 2022. Unlike all previous films, the fifth movie will not be directed by the franchises Jewish creator Steven Spielberg, though he remains heavily involved.
At the helm is director James Mangold, known for widely praised X-Men film Logan (2017) and racing drama Ford v Ferrari (2019), a movie that was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture.
