The city of Fontana offers several virtual contests and a drive-in movie night as part of this year’s Halloween Fun-Fest.
Contests include pumpkin carving, house decorating and costumes, with participants submitting photos online at fontana.org/formcenter/ to enter.
Entry deadline for the pumpkin-carving contest is Oct. 25. Deadline for house-decorating and costume contests is Nov. 2. There are five costume categories, scariest, most creative, most festive, family/group and best-dressed pet.
Another virtual event is a Monster Bash 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, featuring interactive games, activities and dancing. The event will be live streamed, with a link available 6:30 p.m. Oct. 28 at fontana.org/3310/Halloween.
Fontana offers a drive-in movie night Friday, Oct. 30, at Fontana Park, 15556 Summit Ave. Parking lot opens at 6 p.m., and a screening of “Hotel Transylvania” begins at 7:15 p.m. Pre-registration is required, at fontana.org/3310/Halloween. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes for a costume contest.
