At the premiere of her first directorial effort, 'Me, You, Madness,' where husband Steven Mnuchin was a no-show, roughly 25 cars were in attendance, with more than half driving off before the film ended.
Louise Linton was fully in the driver's seat on Me, You, Madness, making her directorial debut from a script she wrote that cast her as a serial killer opposite Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick.
One guest not in attendance at the Hollywood Legion Drive-in premiere Feb. 18 was Linton's husband, former U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Steve Mnuchin, who has yet to make a public appearance after his tenure in the Trump administration ended in January. (Rumors swirl that Mnuchin will relocate to Palm Beach, Florida, though Linton recently told his new employer Fox News that she's "happy to have my husband home in Los Angeles.")
Those who did attend dined on a movie-inspired spread from Crustacean Beverly Hills’ newest concept, Noods to Go, accompanied by candy concessions, movie merch and even You Me Madness-branded chopsticks. The STX project sees Linton as an eccentric murderer in a tumultuous affair with Westwick, a thief.
Ahead of the screening, Linton thanked the crowd of roughly 25 cars (mostly filled with influencers and ex-reality stars) and, appearing beside Westwick, said, "I hope you have as much fun watching this movie as we had making it.” That hope may have been in vain, as more than half the audience departed before the film, which sits at 20 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, ended.
