NORMAL, Ill. – As a kickoff to the 2021-22 season, Illinois State Athletics is excited to host a fun-filled evening for the community on Friday, August 6, at Hancock Stadium featuring Redbird Fan Fair and Community Movie Night.
The 16th annual Redbird Fan Fair will kick off the evening at Hancock Stadium, with the East concourse gates will opening at 5 p.m. The event designed for kids and featuring student-athletes and staff from Illinois State's 19 varsity sports teams, will include interactive activities and stations for kids including inflatables provided by Fun On The Run on the field at Hancock Stadium. The first 500 Reggie's Kids Club members to arrive will receive their free member t-shirt for the year. Sizes are not guaranteed and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Any child 12 and under can join Reggie's Kids Club in advance, or can do so in person when picking up a t-shirt at Fan Fair. More info on Reggie's Kids Club, presented by CEFCU.
Immediately following Fan Fair, a FREE screening of the hit animated feature Toy Story will begin on the video board at Hancock Stadium at 6:30 p.m. The event is presented by Cumulus Bloomington – B104, WBNQ 101.5 FM, and the Voice of the Redbirds AM 1230 WJBC and is open to anyone in the community.
Fully vaccinated attendees will not be required to wear a mask, however those not fully vaccinated are encouraged to wear a mask when social distancing is not possible. No chairs will be allowed on the turf, but attendees are encouraged to bring blankets to sit on to watch the movie. Seating for the movie is also open in both the East and West grandstand bleachers.
Concession stands on the East side of the stadium will be open, and food can be eaten in the East or West bleachers. NO outside food or beverage will be allowed into Hancock Stadium. Free parking will also be available in lots adjacent to the stadium.

Featuring the voice talents of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Don Rickles, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger, Jim Varney, Annie Potts, R. Lee Ermey and Illinois State's own Laurie Metcalf, Erik von Detten, and Sarah Freeman, Toy Story was the first full-length theatrically-released feature film to be made entirely with computer-generated imagery and began a beloved franchise which features three sequels.
