Here's what's at Milwaukee-area pop-up drive-in movie venues this week. Check the websites for updates and each venue's safety precautions. Reminder: Because they're outside, the weather can be a factor, so check ahead.
Marcus Theatres' Parking Lot Cinema
This weekend, the theater chain opens a second drive-in location in the Milwaukee area, at the South Shore Cinema, 7261 S. 13th St., Oak Creek. The South Shore is showing "The Fast & the Furious" and "Furious 7," at 9 p.m. Friday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Marcus' "original" pop-up drive-in at the Majestic Cinema, 770 Springdale Road, Brookfield, is showing a twin bill of "Zootopia" and "The Avengers." The movies start at 9 p.m. Friday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
See marcustheatres.com for tickets, sold on a per-car basis.
Milky Way Drive-in Theatre
The Milky Way continues in the parking lot at the Milwaukee Milkmen's baseball stadium at 7900 Crystal Ridge Drive, Franklin (it's being renamed Franklin Field). Admission is $35 per car per movie. Tickets must be ordered online at milkywaydrivein.com.

Marcus Center
The Marcus Performing Arts Center, 929 N. Water St., wraps up its drive-in season on the top level of the parking deck across State Street. It's free, but you must register online (marcuscenter.org/series/music-and-movies) to get a digital ticket. The gates open at 6:30 p.m.; the movies start at 7 p.m.
June 25: "Beauty and the Beast" (2017)
June 26: "Grease"
They show movies indoors, too
Marcus Theatres is still showing movies — older releases with a sprinkling of classics — in two Milwaukee-area theatres, the Ridge Cinema in New Berlin and the Bistroplex at Southridge Mall in Greendale. Check marcustheatres.com for tickets, titles and showtimes.
Meanwhile, Fox-Bay Cinema Grill in Whitefish Bay is showing what likely is the first "real" opening-week movie: Jon Stewart's politics comedy "Irresistible," which debuts Friday on premium video on demand services and in a handful of theaters, including Fox-Bay. See foxbaycinemagrill.com for tickets and showtimes.
Both Fox-Bay and the Marcus theaters that have been reopened since the tightest restrictions of the coronavirus pandemic eased are employing safety measures, from limiting indoor seating to ensuring social distancing and instigating stricter cleaning regimens.
Other southeast Wisconsin indoor theaters that are back open include the Hartford Theatre and the West Bend Cinema.
