ORANGE VILLAGE, Ohio -- Pinecrest is turning its parking lot into a drive-in movie “experience.”
The event will take place on four consecutive Thursday nights starting with “Trolls” on June 18. Each week, people can vote on Pinecrest’s Facebook page to pick the next movie to be shown.
Tickets cost $10 per car and can be purchased online here. Capacity is being limited to 50 vehicles for the first movie, though it may be increased for the next one. Proceeds benefit Girls on the Run Northeast Ohio. Nonperishable food donations will also be accepted for the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.
Gates for the 9 p.m. showings open at 7:30 p.m., allowing moviegoers to walk around or grab a bite to eat beforehand. Pinecrest restaurants will be offering special take-out menus for people watching the movie.
With most movie theaters still closed, drive-in theaters have become a popular option for socially distanced fun. The big screen is being set up in the lot behind Pottery Barn. Pinecrest is located off I-271 at the Harvard Road exit.
