SPRINGFIELD — When seventh-grader Abdiel Perez heard how a book he read in class took 15 years to become a movie, he was surprised.
“It was just so interesting to talk to the producer of a movie and for a big company like Netflix. It’s really cool because I use Netflix too and I didn’t know it could take that long to make a movie,” said Abdiel, 12, a student at Duggan Academy in Springfield.
