A streaming movie service is shooting another film in the Valley with another major star.

Mosser Casting of Pittsburgh has announced an open call on the Westminster College Campus in New Wilmington, seeking extras for parts in the Netflix feature film “The Pale Blue Eye” starring Christian Bale.

Sign-ups will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday, October 22, 2021, at the McKelvey Campus Center.

Producers are looking for fit men between the ages of 18 to 50 to portray cadets and officers in the year 1830.  Those selected will be expected to let their hair and sideburns grow.

The movie takes place at a military academy where a detective attempts to solve a series of murders with the help of a cadet who will later become the famous author, Edgar Allen Poe.

Filming, some of which will take place on the Westminster Campus, is scheduled on weekdays from late November through mid-February. Pay is $168 for 12-hour workdays.

There will be a mandatory boot camp in November to learn marches and drills.

COVID-19 protocols, including testing, will be followed according to the casting company.
