The end credits have rolled on another celebrity’s Strictly Come Dancing story after a tough performance in movie week.
Former NFL player Jason Bell and his dance partner Luba Mushtuk have left the competition after facing off against ex-Olympic boxer Nicola Adams and her partner Katya Jones in the dance off.

Both couples had been in the bottom two after the judges’ scores, but even Adams’ popularity with Strictly viewers couldn’t save her from the dance off which also combines the public vote with scores.
There's no doubt @JasonBell33 and @LubaMushtuk brought so much joy to #Strictly 2020. We'll miss you! 💖 pic.twitter.com/bq344IfSuV

However, Bell, who lagged far behind the competition on just 12 points for his Star Wars-themed Paso Doble, was sent home when all three judges chose to save Adams.
Leaving the show, he said: “It was the opportunity of a lifetime, I had so much fun.
“This is the best group of people ever.”
Jason Bell breaks my heart, have you ever met a more gracious, smiley, happy man? #Strictly

That song choice and choreography is the only reason Jason went home. Terrible choices and not his fault at all. #Strictly

Jason was better in the dance off. He should have stayed. #Strictly

Bell and Mushtuk follow former Home Secretary Jacqui Smith and Anton Du Beke who were the first couple to leave this series.
Along with many of the BBC One show’s viewers, the judges are firm fans of Adams and Jones’ pairing - the first same-sex one in the programme’s history.
Whaaaaat??!!! Britain: this is DISAPPOINTING. Nicola should not be in the dance off. #Strictly

maybe if they didn’t make nicola and katya do completely platonic dances where they are never in hold they may not be in trouble #Strictly

This year’s competition is particularly strong, with EastEnders actor Maisie Smith and popstar HRVY out in front on technical ability, comedian Bill Bailey and actor Caroline Quentin favourites with the audience, and TV presenter Ranvir Singh topping the weekend’s leaderboard after being awarded nine points from each of the judges.
Saturday’s live show featured the first theme week of the series, with couples dancing movie-inspired routines including Frozen, The Simpsons and Dreamgirls.
Strictly fans had been disappointed last week that the usual Halloween theme was cancelled as it had been deemed too early in the contest, which started around a month later this year because of COVID filming restrictions.
The results show opened with an emotional pro group routine in honour of Remembrance Sunday, which included a segment filmed on the white cliffs of Dover.
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 7.10pm on BBC One.
