TRU Community Care, the Dairy Center for the Arts and Old Glory Honor Flight are presenting a virtual screening of the film “Return to Nam” on Veteran’s Day at 7 p.m. Nov. 11.
The film tells the story of 52 veterans who fought during the Vietnam War and their return to Vietnam 50 years later.
According to a release, “Return to Nam” is a story of healing that shows the reluctance of many of the veterans to return to a place that held difficult memories and the steps they took to conquer their demons individually and as a group.
“As a level five partner of the We Honor Veterans program, TRU’s work with veterans is unparalleled and we couldn’t be more excited to co-present this unique and beautiful story,” said Ginger Cooley, Volunteer Coordinator at TRU Community Care.
After the online screening, four veterans from the film will be available to take questions regarding their experiences in Vietnam and their return years later. People can register to see the film for free at trucare.org/returntonam.
