Three UNCSA short films have been awarded honors by jurors in advance of the Longleaf Film Festival.
Seven other UNCSA short films were chosen as official selections and all 10 UNCSA films will screen in the festival during the festival’s “2021 One Last (Virtual) Viewing Event" from 4 p.m., Friday, May 14, through 11 p.m. on Saturday, May 15.
All Longleaf Film Festival events, programs and screenings are free to the public.

- “Sideways” was awarded Judges’ Choice Winner for Best Overall Narrative Film
- “échappé” was awarded Best Drama in the Narrative Short Category
- “In Our Nature” was awarded Best Overall in the Animated Film Category

“Artificial” was written and directed by Caitlin Donnelly, produced by Dillon DiPietro, with cinematography by Ian McCay, production design by Grant West, editing by Bateman Lewis, music by Will Church, costume design by Sarah Loveland and wig & makeup design by Brittan Furr.
